FAQ

Does your office accept insurance?

This is one of the first questions a patients might ask before scheduling an appointment. We often like to explain that our practice has flat office visit fees of $150 for a new patient visit, $85 for a routine visit. This means we don’t itemize for different treatments, procedures or therapies. This practice model helps let every patient know if we take the extra time to add something to their treatment, it is ONLY because it will benefit them and NOT because the office will maximize revenue by billing insurance for it.
We are able to offer flat fees because we do not work directly with insurance insurance. Our patients pay for their care at the time of service and we provide the necessary forms to submit for reimbursement from their insurance company. So even though we don’t accept insurance, you can still benefit from your insurance policy by getting reimbursed directly.
BMS Chiropractic believes in the value of chiropractic and wellness care for you and your family. We have always maintained an affordable fee structure. For many, our fee is less than their co-pay!  Cash, checks and most credit cards are accepted. To learn more about our payment options for chiropractic and wellness care, you can call our office directly.

Insurance

Your insurance coverage is an agreement between you and your insurance company. In order to work for the best interests of your health, we choose not  to work for insurance companies while we work to improve your health. Our focus is 100% on you! Our bottom line is improving your health. If you have chiropractic insurance benefits, you can easily file for reimbursement through your insurance. We request payment at time of service. For your convenience, proper documentation required for reimbursement will be provided by us.

Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex-Spending Account?

Absolutely! These types of accounts function like a credit card or check payment.

Do you accept Medicare/Medicaid?

We have many practice members with Medicare coverage. We are registered with Medicare as a non-participating provider. Our fees are paid by you at time of service. We file your claim form to Medicare. Medicare reimburses you directly. Medicare only reimburses for spinal manipulation. We do not accept or file Medicaid.

If I were in a car accident, would you accept my insurance?

We work with many people who have been in accidents and who get reimbursed from their auto insurance company. We do not accept assignment of benefits, our fees are paid by you at time of service. However, we will provide necessary reports so you may get reimbursed according to your coverage. If you wish to recover from your accident as soon as possible, we can certainly help.

Do you handle workers' compensation?

Like other types of insurance, we do not accept assignment of benefits. Our fees are paid by you at time of service. We are happy to provide you with all the documentation you need to get reimbursed according to your coverage. Again, if you wish to recover from your injury as soon as possible, we can certainly help.

Health on a Budget

At BMS Chiropractic we are convinced that a small amount of your time and money spent on your health now will be the most beneficial to you in the long run. This will be far less time consuming and expensive than trying to recover your health once it's lost. So please, we would like to encourage you to take your health seriously.  You do not have to wait until your health is in crisis to come into our wellness center. As the old saying goes,  "If you don't have your health, you don't have anything!".  Unfortunately, too many people discover how true that statement when it is too late!.
